Aftermarket Mahindra Parts & Engine Repair Kits

Posted by Reubicon Tractor Parts on 21st Nov 2025

If your Mahindra tractor is losing power, burning oil, or showing signs of internal wear, an Engine Overhaul Repair Kit can bring it back to life without the cost of a full engine replacement. At Reubicon, we offer these kits in our selection of aftermarket Mahindra parts, and they can be an affordable option to consider.

Our engine repair kits include all the critical components needed to restore compression, improve performance, and extend the life of your engine—from gaskets and pistons to sleeves, seals, and valve system parts. Whether you're rebuilding an older workhorse or repairing a heavily used tractor, these comprehensive kits ensure you have every part required for a reliable, long-lasting engine repair.

We offer engine repair kits for most Mahindra tractor models. Let's take a quick look at just one of our kits and what’s included. This specific kit was built for the Mahindra 5035 model tractor.

1. Complete Engine Gasket Set

Gaskets create airtight, leak-proof seals between engine components. This prevents oil, coolant, fuel, and combustion gases from escaping. During an overhaul, every gasket must be replaced because even small leaks can cause overheating, oil starvation, or loss of compression.

2. Engine Cylinder Sleeves

Cylinder sleeves (liners) provide a hard, durable surface for pistons to move up and down. Over time, they wear out or become scuffed. Replacing them restores proper compression, reduces oil consumption, and gives the engine a fresh internal “bore” without replacing the entire block.

3. O-Ring Sleeve Cylinder

These O-rings seal the bottom of the cylinder sleeve where it meets the engine block. Their job is to prevent coolant from leaking into the crankcase or combustion chamber. A worn sleeve O-ring can cause catastrophic coolant/oil contamination.

4. Piston & Pin Assembly

This includes the piston itself as well as the wrist pin that connects it to the connecting rod. A new piston assembly ensures proper fit, compression, and power generation. Worn pistons can cause blow-by, loss of horsepower, excessive smoke, and oil burning.

5. Circlip Piston Pin

These small clips lock the piston pin in place and keep it from sliding out during piston movement. If a circlip fails, the pin can score the cylinder wall and destroy the engine — so they're always replaced during an overhaul.

 6. Ring Set for Single Piston

Piston rings create the seal between the piston and cylinder sleeve. Installing new rings is essential to restoring full power and preventing oil consumption. The rings:

  • Maintain compression
  • Prevent combustion gases from leaking
  • Scrape excess oil off the cylinder walls

7. Expansion Plug

Also known as a freeze plug or core plug, this seals casting holes in the engine block. If a plug corrodes or leaks, coolant escapes, and the engine can quickly overheat. Replacing them during an overhaul is cheap insurance against future coolant loss.

8. Screws for Crankcase Front Plate

These fasteners secure the crankcase front (timing cover) to the engine block. Overhaul kits include new screws to ensure proper torque and sealing. Old hardware can stretch, corrode, or weaken — leading to timing cover leaks.

9. Valve System Seal

Valve stem seals prevent engine oil from dripping down into the combustion chamber through the valve guides. If they go bad, the engine smokes (blue smoke), burns oil, and fouls spark plugs. Replacing them restores proper oil control in the cylinder head.

10. Valve System Guide

Valve guides keep the valves aligned as they move up and down. A worn guide causes misalignment, poor compression, and increased oil consumption. New guides help ensure smooth valve operation and proper sealing.

11. Bushing Connecting Rod

This small bushing sits at the upper end (small end) of the connecting rod and allows the piston pin to move smoothly. When worn, it causes knocking noises, excess play, and uneven piston movement. Replacing it ensures proper fit and reduces wear on the piston pin.

12. Front Crankshaft Oil Seal

Located behind the crankshaft pulley, it prevents engine oil from leaking from the front of the engine. During an overhaul, it must be replaced to avoid oil dripping onto belts or the ground.

13. Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal

This seal prevents oil leakage where the crankshaft exits the back of the engine to meet the flywheel. A worn rear main seal creates major oil leaks and clutch contamination (on manual tractors). Fresh seals help keep the lower end oil-tight.

Keep in mind, this is just one of the engine repair kits in our aftermarket Mahindra tractor parts catalog. To find your specific kit, we recommend using the search bar at the top of our homepage and typing in your model number and “engine repair kit” into the search query. This should bring up available options, but if you don’t quickly find the kit you need, give us a call and we will match you to the set for your model.
